RIO FILM CLUB

Do you enjoy talking about films as well as watching them?
Want to meet new people to talk about films with? Then the Rio Film Club is for you!

The Club meets every other Wednesday (although this pattern can vary occasionally according to the main feature schedule), for the early evening show and after the film heads to the Evin Café for post-film discussion, where you can also enjoy a drink and bite to eat (1 minute walk from the Rio!). If you've already seen the film, why not join us anyway for the chat?

The next four meetings are:
Wednesday 17 June, 6.00pm - LOOKING FOR ERIC
Wednesday 1 July, 6.30pm - RUDO & CURSI
Wednesday 22 July 6.30pm - 35 SHOTS OF RUM
Wednesday 29 July 6.30pm - ANTICHRIST

ONLINE BOOKING COMES TO THE RIO!

We are delighted to be able at last to offer online booking. This is part of a brand new ticketing system which we have installed with the help of a grant from the UK Film Council’s Capital & Access Fund for Independent Cinemas, amounting to 50% of the total cost of the system. As well as facilitating online booking, the new system includes a ticket pickup point in the foyer for tickets booked on the phone or online, Chip and PIN, a ticketing/retail point in the Cafe for use at daytime screenings and an extensive marketing functionality (incorporating our Friends’ membership scheme). We would like to thank James Collington and Patrick Hort of Savoy Systems for all their hard work in installing the system and Kath Knight and Alex Stolz at the UK Film Council for their support and patience whilst we searched, and then waited for a system to appear on the market that would would meet our needs and our budget.
